A small group from our church went on a "partnership" trip (kind of like a mission trip but building a relationship that goes both ways) to Utah a couple weeks ago. We saw so many ways that God is still at work. We heard stories of how God is working on people's hearts even while they are in the Morman/LDS church to call them to himself. We felt instant connections with our brothers and sisters in the faith. We saw God working in the hearts of our team to understand the joy of serving others. We had great discussions on how to help young people connect with their faith. It's always interesting to be in a different environment than what you are used to at home. Sometimes it's easier to see how God is at work.

(This is Hannah's mom writing this...) I have seen God at work in His provision for our family over the last several months, both financially and in other ways. My husband lost his job at the end of 2021, after 22 years with the company, and is still looking for another job. It's been quite a roller coaster ride of emotion, but I have seen over and over again God's faithfulness and provision for us. Our children attended church camp this year and through gifts from our church and anonymous givers, we didn't have to pay anything for them to attend. We have been a part of a homeschool co-op for several years and when it was time to pay our tuition for the year, we received our invoice and half of our tuition was covered because of an anonymous gift. Through the public school systems lunch programs, the kids have been able to get free lunches 4 days a week. Another public school in our area has a grocery pick-up once a week where we have gotten lots of fruit, veggies, main meal items, and breakfast items for several meals. It's made a significant difference in our grocery bill for the last couple of months. My daughter and I went on a missions trip in July and through her fundraising efforts, she paid the remaining cost of my flight ticket and hers (the church helped cover the remaining portion), and covered all of our lunch cost while we were there. Just the other day, I had done some grocery shopping and the only item I needed was a zucchini, which I had planned to pick up at a farmer's market the next day. However, I had gone over to our parents' house, and at the end of my time there was asked if I'd like a zucchini from their garden. We also got some potatoes from one of their gardens. We have also received some monetary gifts/gift card at church from anonymous givers and it has been a tremendous blessing. We don't know everyone who has given to us, but I am always overwhelmed at God's goodness to us during this time. I have been incredibly blessed by the generosity of others and the many prayers that are being prayed on our behalf. God is so good.
